The 5th Cyprus Energy Symposium entitled: “Cyprus: Europe’s New Energy Gate” took place on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017, in Nicosia and was held under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Symposium covered the latest developments in the energy sector of the Southeastern Mediterranean Region, considering several aspects of regional cooperation between Cyprus, Greece, Egypt and Israel according to the new geopolitical balances and challenges.
Many political figures, including the President of the Republic of Cyprus, the House President and Ministers, senior company executives, businesspeople and academics from Cyprus, Greece and abroad participated in the Symposium. The agenda covered crucial matters of the region such as the energy strategy of the Republic of Cyprus in hydrocarbon research and development, co-operation in the field of energy among countries of the broader region, investments in Southeastern Mediterranean by energy companies etc.
Our Business Development staff attended the Symposium, with the aim of broadening the presence of Asprofos in Cyprus and Southeastern Mediterranean generally.
