Revamping of Naphtha Desulphurization Unit

PROJECT SYNOPSIS

The project will consist of an extensive revamping of the existing U-2300, to operate in the future as FCC naphtha desulphurization unit. The plant consists of a processing unit to desulphurize FCC naphtha according to the license of CDTECH. The unit will process 22.500 bpd (149m3 /h) of Light Cat Naphtha (LCNC6+) and 4.500 bpd (~ 30m3 /h) of Heavy Cat Naphtha (HCN.). The unit will also be designed to reduce the total sulphur level in the final product to 10 ppmw.

ASPROFOS SERVICES

ASPROFOS initial services included:

  • Follow up of the basic design performed by CDTECH
  • Preparation of conceptual equipment arrangement dwgs
  • Preliminary check of existing pieces of equipment intended to be reused
  • Start preparation of material requisitions for main pieces of equipment based on rev.0 of the Basic Engineering Package
  • Preparation and issuance of inquiry for the dismantling of U-2300
  • Basic design of the interconnecting, process and utilities, for U-9200, etc.\
