Thessaloniki – Skopje 16 inch Crude Oil Pipeline

Scope of work:

The scope of the project was to deliver a Pipeline system for crude oil Transport between Helpe TIC and OKTA Skopje Refineries.

ASPROFOS carried out the full detailed design follow-up and provided services pertaining to procurement, construction supervision, testing and commissioning. Construction of the crude oil pipeline provided interconnection between new tankage within HEL.PE/T.I.C. (2 tanks of 80.000 m3 capacity each) to existing crude oil tankage within OKTA refinery. The 16 inch pipeline extends along a distance of 213 km, has a design pressure of 102 barg and is rated to transport 2.5 million tones per year of various Crude Oils to OKTA.

  • Construction Supervision
  • Commissioning / Start-up of Crude Oil Pipeline and associated Terminal Stations
  • Detailed Design Follow-up, including review of Contractor’s pertinent Engineering Activities (Drawings/ Documents included)
  • Technical Support to the Owner
  • Contract Administration
  • Project Management (Project Control services, monitoring of the project time schedule and the associated cash flow)
  • Issue of Technical Specifications Study associated with a Channel for Telecommunication Cables
