Information Management System for the Control of Public Works in Greece

Scope of work:
The main objective of the project is the development and application of an information management and administration system for the overall control of Public Works. This system will enable gathering and processing of relevant information to produce user-friendly and understandable reports which will facilitate the decision making process. The development and support of the system with useful and accurate information together with its implementation and operation by the suitable entities are intermediate targets. Possible operating entities include Ministries, Regional Municipality and Public Services, Organisations and Public Enterprises.
The system will provide processed information in various formats and levels, to enable:
- monitoring of the overall situation pertaining to all the Public Works in Greece per carrier, geographical location, department, category of works, type of contract etc.
- monitoring the progress and development of each of the Public Works schedule with regard to timing in all the above mentioned levels,
- in-time warning signs of problems regarding the overall Public Works life cycle
- the preparation for decision making on a high Public Sector level regarding the Public Works in Greece with legitimate and proven facts.
Asprofos was involved in the overall project scope regarding the required services for the development, installation and operation of such a project management and administrations system. More specifically this scope entailed:
- the study, development, formation and installation of the system;
- Quality Control of initial data;
- introduction and periodic updating of the information database;
- procurement for the supply of the system software and hardware;
- operation of the system for a period of 18 months.
