Engineering Division

Engineering is traditionally the largest operating group within the Company and consists of a wide variety of specialists and specialized functional units, such as:

 

 

Electro - Mechanical Division:

  • Project (multidiscipline) engineering and coordination 

  • Electrical

  • Technological (non-rotating mechanical equipment)

  • Materials

  • Machinery (rotating equipment)

  • Instrumentation & Automation Systems

Civil - Piping Division:

  • Civil

  • Geological

  • Topographical

  • Piping and Piping Stress Analysis

  • Piping Materials

Above divisions are suppored by:

  • Document Management Systems

  • Company Know-How management and Library 

These units are working exchanging information with each other and in direct cooperation with the Project Management. Specialist engineers are working within an integrated computer software environment (in both 2-D and 3-D Plant Design Systems) with software and hardware support from the IT and Communications Division.

The main responsibilities of the Engineering Division are the following:

  • Consulting services.

  • Detail engineering.

  • Follow-up of detail engineering activities of other parties.

  • Preparation of job specifications in compliance with project requirements, laws and directives.

  • Technical support to construction supervision for the proper implementation of the detail design and specifications.

  • Qualification of equipment suppliers.

  • Technical evaluation of contractor bid packages or equipment supplier offers.

  • Inspection and expediting activities support.

The Engineering Divisions constitute an integrated unit, running on a matrix system, which includes specialized engineers, designers and draftpersons to support the needs of all running projects.
